Privacy
Privacy, in plain words.
Last updated 15 October 2026. This site belongs to Saaliq Maqbool, a designer based in Srinagar, India. It is a portfolio, so it collects very little.
What this site does not do
It does not run analytics, advertising trackers or tracking pixels, and it does not set cookies of its own.
What stays on your device
If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name sm-theme. It never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
The contact form
If you send a message through the contact form, the details you type (name, company, email address, what the message is about, working mode and the message itself) are emailed to me so I can reply. They are not stored in a database on this site and are not used for anything else. The email stays in my inbox until I delete it. To have it deleted sooner, email me and I will remove it.
Third parties you may meet
Google Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google’s servers when a page opens.
YouTube. The music player in the corner loads YouTube’s embedded player only when you press play. From that moment YouTube may set its own cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy.
LinkedIn. The link to my LinkedIn profile takes you to that service, which has its own policies.
Hosting. The web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) for security and troubleshooting.
Questions or requests
Write to saaliqmaqbool@gmail.com or use the contact page. If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
